Abstract
Feasibility Analysis of Oil Palm Nurseries in Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province (Case Study of Mr. Kusnadi, SP) Supervisor by Dr. Azharuddin M Amin, M.Sc. Oil palm nursery business requires high investment and operational costs so that planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring in business management is needed to generate profits over the life of the project. Feasibility analysis to see whether or not an oil palm nursery business is feasible. This study aims to analyze: 1) the characteristics of entrepreneurs and business profile of Oil Palm Nursery, 2) the non-financial feasibility of Oil Palm Nursery business, 3) the financial feasibility of Oil Palm Nursery business and 4) Oil Palm Nursery sensitivity of business. The research method used the case study method in the oil palm nursery Mr. Kusnadi, SP. The research location was in UPT P2P land, Jl. Kaharuddin Nst No. 339, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. This research was conducted from February to July 2023. The respondents in this study were oil palm nursery entrepreneurs. The types of data used are qualitative and quantitative data. The data sources used are primary and secondary data. The results showed that the characteristics of entrepreneurs were in the productive age group with 53 years of age, 16 years of education (S1), 15 years of business experience, Number of family dependents 3 people. The business profile includes history, capital, scale, and workforce. The history of this oil palm nursery business began in 2007, working capital from equity consists of investment capital of IDR 68,622,000.00 and working capital of IDR 146,819,484.77, the business scale of this oil palm nursery was classified as a small business scale with a workforce of 11 workers. Non-financial feasibility shows that based on market, technical, legal, social, economic and environmental aspects oil palm nursery business was said to be feasible. Furthermore, the results of the financial feasibility analysis show that oil palm nursery business was feasible to run with an NPV value of IDR 301.573.362,06 > 0, IRR of 59,98% > I (14%), Net B/C of IDR 3,57 > 1, and Payback Period for 1 year 11 months 11 days. Based on the results of a sensitivity analysis using the Switching Value method, businesses are more sensitive to increases in input costs (fertilizers, fungicides, and labor) of 6.36% and 8.83%, which causes the NPV to decrease by 6,25% from the base value.
