Abstract
SNAIL ENRICHMENT (Achatina fulica) WITH THE ADDITION OF DIFFERENT DOSAGE SquidOIL ON THE SURVIVAL AND GROWTH OF SNAKEHEAD FISH(Striated channa)” under the guidance of Mr. Ir. T. Iskandar Johan, M.Si. Thisresearch was conducted for 21 days in March 2023 at the Fish Seed Center (BBI), Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru. This study aims todetermine the effect of snail enrichment (Achatina fulica) with the addition ofdifferent doses of squid oil on the survival and growth of snakehead fish seeds(Striated channa). The method used was a Completely Randomized Design(CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications, namely treatment P0 = control(without enrichment of squid oil), P1 = enrichment of snails with a dose of 0.7 ml,P2 = dose of 1.4 ml, P3 = dose 2.1 ml and P4 = 2.8 ml dose of squid oil. Thesnakehead fish used was 28 days old after the yolk ran out with an average weight of 0.98 grams and 3.89 cm in length. The seeds were obtained from the PekanbaruSnakehead Fish Seed Business which is located on Jalan Teropong, WestSidomulyo sub-district, Tampan sub-district, Pekanbaru city. The results showed that the highest survival was obtained in the P4 treatment of 94.67% and thelowest in the P0 of 86.67%. The highest absolute weight growth in the P4treatment was 1.42 gr and the lowest was 0.68 gr. The highest absolute lengthgrowth was in the P4 treatment of 2.40 cm and the lowest was 1.63 cm. Thehighest daily growth rate for the P4 treatment was 6.75% and the lowest was 3.22%. The best feed conversion value in the P4 treatment was 1.06. Waterquality parameters, namely temperature 26-30 C, pH 7.03-7.24, Dissolved Oxygen 4.7-6.6 mg/l and Ammonia 0.42-0.69 mg/l
