Abstract

Countries in the world mostly experience environmental problems. Indonesia is the second country after China as the largest contributor of waste in the world. A poor waste management system makes waste still a national problem. Supported by an increase in the capacity of the earth's inhabitants accompanied by individual daily consumption, resulting in an increase in the various amounts of waste produced. This problem is the result of human behavior, where there are barriers to pro-environmental behavior, thus negatively affecting the environment and the health of living things. This study aims to see an overview of the inhibiting factors of pro-environmental behavior based on social learning theory, with 3 informants. This research was conducted with a descriptive qualitative method approach, using interview techniques, observation with non-probability sampling, namely purposive sampling. The results of this study, the inhibiting factors of pro-environmental behavior are classified into three factors, namely the Individuality factor which is influenced by knowledge, awareness, attitude. Both behavioral factors are influenced by practicality, intention, expectations, lifestyle, punishment. The three environmental factors are influenced by responsibility, situational, external motivation, social pressure, and result orientation.
