Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine the interaction and main effect of POC pineapple peels and urea fertilizer on the growth and production of celery plants in PMK Soil. It has been carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution Km 11 No. 113. Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The study was conducted for 5 months from January to May 2022. The design used in this study was a Completely Randomized Factorial Design, consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was the POC concentration of pineapple peel consisting of 4 levels namely 0, 150, 300 and 450 ml/l of water and the second factor was Urea fertilizer consisting of 4 levels namely 0, 0.75, 1.5 and 2.25 g/ poly bag. Parameters observed were plant height, number of tillers, number of fronds, plant fresh weight, plant dry weight and root volume. Observational data were analyzed statistically and carried out by Follow-Up Test for Honest Significant Differences (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction between POC concentrations of pineapple peels and Urea fertilizer had a significant effect on all parameters with the best combination of POC concentrations of pineapple peels of 450 ml/l water and a dose of 2.25 g/polybag urea. The main effect of POC concentration of real pineapple skin on all observation parameters. The best treatment is POC concentration of pineapple skin 450 ml/l water. The main effect of real urea dose on all observation parameters. The best treatment was the dose of 2.25 g/polybag urea.
