Abstract

The aim of the research was to first examine the effect of NAA hormone interactions on male flower anthesis days and the number of imago E. kamerunicus insects. The second test investigated the effect of NAA hormone interactions on the number of spikelets, spikelet length, stalk length, midrib position and flowering phenology of oil palm. This study used a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and Two Paired Tests, consisting of two tests. The first and second tests consisted of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment was without the NAA hormone, concentrations of 100 ppm, concentrations of 200 ppm and concentrations of 300 ppm. First test, day of anthesis and number of E. kamerunicus imago. The second test was the number of spikelets, spikelet length, stalk length, midrib position and oil palm flowering phenology. The results showed that the NAA hormone was significant on the day of anthesis, midrib position and oil palm flowering phenology but not significantly on the number of E. kamerunicus imago insects, the number of spikelets, spikelet length and stalk length. The first test of the application of the NAA hormone on various types of male flowers had an effect on the day of anthesis during the male flower phase of 603 with a concentration of 100 and 200 ppm in the 602 phase with a concentration of 300 ppm. On the number of imago E. kamerunicus with the application of the NAA hormone, it had no effect on male flowers coming to reproduce. The second test of the application of the NAA hormone had no effect on the number of spikelets, spikelet length and size of the male flower stalk length. In the position of fronds, the application of the NAA hormone for 4 months after application in frond 9 with a concentration of 200 ppm shifted its position very quickly, namely to frond number 21 compared to the control to frond number 20. The flowering phenology of oil palm male flowers appeared in the application of NAA to frond number 17, concentration 200 ppm.
