Abstract

If the initial planning of the foundation is wrong in calculating the bearing strength, then there is a great potential for construction failure. Based on this, a strong support and settlement study was carried out at the Type-1 Dormitory Building of MAN 1 Indragiri Hulu. This aims to determine the bearing strength and settlement that occurs in the foundation and compare the bearing strength with the results of the PDA test and settlement with the results of the PDA test and SNI 8460-2017. Calculations use sondir data (CPT), bored pile foundation loading data obtained by analysis using ETABS 18 as well as structural drawing data and architectural drawing data issued by CV. Satria Muda Jaya. Calculation of bearing strength uses the Aoki and De Alencar, Schertmann and Nottingham + deRuiter and Beringen methods, and the Meyerhoff + deRuiter and Beringen methods and the 2D finite element method. For settlement analysis using the Poulus and Davis method and the 2D finite element method. From the loading analysis using ETABS 18, the maximum load at Grid A5 point is 149.235 kN. The bearing strength that is closer to the results of the PDA test of 173 kN is the 2D finite element method with an interface of 239.224 kN and the Aoki and De Alencar method of 399.76 kN with an approximate fs. And for the reduction with the Poulus and Davis method, it was found to be 2.22 mm while the 2D finite element method with an interface of 1.80 mm. The results of the calculation analysis show that the decrease is smaller than the decrease in the Flemming 1922 permit by 25 mm and SNI 8460-2017 for a difference of 20 mm, but the decrease in the PDA test by 43 mm is not safe because it is more than a decrease in the permit for Flemming 1922 and SNI 8460-2017 for the difference decline.
