Abstract
Supply Chain Analysis of Sago Flour Agroindustry Products in Merbau District, Meranti Islands Regency (Case Study: Sago Flour Agro-industry Business at X Factory) Under the Guidance of Dr. Ir. Saipul Bahri, M.Ec Supply chains can increase farmers' income, and also increase the income of related parties along the agroindustrial supply chain. This research aims to analyze: (1) characteristics of members of the sago starch agroindustry supply chain in Merbau District (2) distribution mechanism of the sago starch agroindustry supply chain, (3) distribution efficiency of the sago starch agroindustry supply chain, and (4) added value of each member sago starch supply chain. The method used in the research was a survey. This research was located in Merbau District, Meranti Islands Regency. The samples in this study were 28 samples taken purposively which included sago farmers, sago palm collectors, sago palm processing, retailers and consumers. The data analysis used is qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the research show that: (1) characteristics of supply chain actors are mostly 48-53 years old and predominantly male. The most recent education is junior high school and the number of family dependents is 1-3 people and the most business experience is 3- 5 years. (2) Distribution mechanism, namely the flow of goods, information and finances in 3 marketing channels. Channel I distribution of marketing costs by farmers, factories and retailers is IDR 1,197/kg sago flour and the supply chain distribution margin is IDR 7,778.46/kg. Channel II distributes marketing costs incurred by farmers, factories and retailers amounting to IDR 1,184/kg sago flour. The supply chain distribution margin is IDR 7,369.24/kg. Channel III distribution of marketing costs incurred by farmers, factories and consumers is 1,381/kg sago flour. The supply chain distribution margin is IDR 5,369.24/kg. Supply chain distribution efficiency in channel I is 11.53%, channel II is 11.85%, and channel III is 17.26%. (3) Supply chain distribution efficiency in channel I is 11.53%, channel II is 11.85%, and channel III is 17.26%. (4) added value ratio at the level of farmers who sell genuine sago to factories is 97.95%, while farmers who sell genuine sago to collectors have an added value of 96.15%. The value added ratio for traders collecting sago is 11.58% and the value added ratio for sago processing factories is 40.6%.
