Abstract
Business Feasibility Analysis of Banana Chips Agroindustry (Case in the "7 Brothers" Business) in Sekip Hulu Village Rengat District Indragiri Hulu Regency Riau Province, Supervisor by Dr. Azharuddin M. Amin M.Sc. Banana Horn chips are products of agro-industry businesses that process Banana Horn into plantain chips that can be consumed and enjoyed by consumers. This study aims to analyze: 1). Characteristics and business profile of Banana Horn chips. 2). Non-financial feasibility and financial feasibility of Banana Horn chips business. 3). Business sensitivity of Banana Horn chips. The research method was a case study method, a case in the Banana horn chips agro-industry business "Sejuh Brothers" in Sekip Hulu Village, Rengat District, Indaragiri Hulu Regency, Riau Province. This research was carried out for six months starting from February to July 2023. The respondents in this study were entrepreneurs and seven workers. The data collected consisted of primary data and secondary data which were analyzed descriptively quantitative and qualitative, business analysis, investment criteria (Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, Net B/C and Payback Period) and sensitivity. The results of this study indicate that entrepreneurs are of productive age with 52 years of age, 16 years of education or a bachelor's degree (S1) with 14 years of business experience and 3 family size. This Banana horn chip agro-industry business was a micro-scale business, and uses traditional technology. Non-financial feasibility shows that based on market and marketing, technical and technological, environmental, management aspects are feasible to run, while legal aspects was not feasible. Furthermore, the results of the financial feasibility analysis show that the Banana Horn chips agro-industry was feasible besed on 4 investment criteria with an NPV value of 208,919,107 > 0, Net B/C 5.0 > 1, IRR 118% > higher than interest rate, and Payback Period 1 year 14 days < business age (10 years). Based on the sensitivity analysis of the Banana Horn chips agroindustry business, which more sensitive was the decline in selling prices with NPV Rp. 178,456,118 with a decrease percentage of 14.58%. The IRR was 100%, with a decrease percentage of 15.42%. Net B/C become to 4.2 with a percentage decrease of 16.1%.
