Abstract

ABSTRACT SYUKRI AHYAR (2019): Contribution of eye hand coordination and explosive power of arm muscles to the ability to smash a badminton game on junior players PB Angkasa Prestasi Gemilang Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of hand eye coordination and arm muscle explosive power together to the ability to smash a badminton game on PB Angkasa Prestasi Gemilang Pekanbaru junior players. This type of research is correlational. The population in this study was PB Angkasa Prestasi Gemilang Pekanbaru Junior Players, totaling 15 players. The sampling technique in this study is total sampling. The instruments of this study were throwing the ball with a stray, the medicine throwing ball overhead test, the badminton smash test. The conclusion of this research is that there is a contribution of hand-eye coordination to the ability to smash a badminton game by 28%. the calculated value is 0.529. There is an explosive power contribution of the arm muscle to the ability to smash a badminton game. The percentage is 33.5%. The calculated value is 0.578. There is a contribution of eye hand coordination and explosive power of the arm muscles together to the ability to smash a badminton game on junior players PB Angkasa Prestasi Gemilang Pekanbaru The percentage is 39.5%. Double correlation count is 0.628.
