Abstract

This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution KM 11 No. 113 Stop Marpoyan Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru. The research was conducted for 4 months. This study aims to determine the effect of rice husk biochar and TSP fertilizer on the growth and production of black soybean plants. The design used in this study was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor is rice husk biochar (B) which consists of 4 levels namely 0, 60, 120 and 180 g/polybag and the second factor is TSP fertilizer (T) which consists of 4 levels namely 0, 0.6, 1.20 and 1.80 g/poly bag. From these two treatments, 16 treatment combinations were obtained, each treatment combination was repeated 3 times so that there were 48 experimental units. Parameters observed were plant height, relative growth rate, number of root nodules, percentage of effective root nodules planted, flowering age, harvested age, percentage of fruitful pods planted, weight of dry seed planted, and weight of 100 seeds. The data obtained were analyzed for variance and then continued with a significant difference test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction effect of rice husk biochar and TSP fertilizer was significant on all parameters except the percentage of effective root nodules and harvesting age. The best treatment is rice husk biochar 180 g/polybag and TSP fertilizer 1.80 g/polybag. The main effect of rice husk biochar was significant on all observation parameters, the best treatment was 180 g/polybag. The main effect of TSP fertilizer is real on all observation parameters, the best treatment is 1.80 g/polybag.
