Abstract
Garbage is an important problem to solve because it involves health, safety and human life. Garbage continues to increase along with the increase in population which is a serious concern for all humans. The impact of environmental pollution caused by this waste is increasingly felt when the processing of waste is not proportional to the amount of waste produced. Utilization of organic waste and glass waste is expected to increase the compressive strength of concrete. This study aims to determine the effect of ash from burning organic waste as a partial substitute for cement and glass waste as a partial substitution for fine aggregate on the compressive strength of concrete and to determine the optimum value of the compressive strength of concrete. This study used the concrete mix planning method referring to the SNI-03-2834-2000 standard. The test specimens were cylindrical concrete (15 cm x 30 cm) with variations in the addition of organic waste ash of 3% and glass waste of 0%, 2.5%, 5% and 7.5% to the weight of fine aggregate. The average slump value in this study was at the percentage of 3% organic waste and 0% glass waste, the slump value was 84 mm, at the percentage of 3% organic waste and 2.5% glass waste, the average slump value was 114 mm, at the percentage of organic waste 3% and 5% glass waste the average slump value is 103 mm and at the percentage of organic waste 3% and 7.5% glass waste the average slump value is 109 mm. ?The compressive strength value of concrete in concrete mixed with organic waste ash as a partial replacement for cement and glass waste as a partial replacement for fine aggregate for the compressive strength of concrete in 28-day curing concrete with a percentage of 3% organic waste and 0% glass waste experienced a concrete increase of 2.737% with a value compressive strength of 28.308 Mpa, in a mixture of 3% organic waste ash and 2.5% organic waste decreased by 13.979% with a compressive strength value of 24.156 Mpa, in a mixture of 3% organic waste ash and 5% glass waste also decreased by 8.877% with the compressive strength value was 25.288 Mpa, the mixture of 3% organic waste ash and 7.5% glass waste increased by 10.497% with a compressive strength value of 30.761 Mpa. In this study, the maximum value of the compressive strength of concrete that meets fc'20 MPa is the percentage of 3% organic waste and 7.5% glass waste.
