Abstract
ESTIMATIONQUANTITY TAKE OFF WITHBUILDING INFORMATION MODELLING 5D USESCUBICOST SOFTWARE (Case Study: Development of the Dumai City Islamic Center) TIO NUR RIZKI 173110224 ABSTRACT Nowdays construction is experiencing rapid development. Therefore construction actors are required to find a solution to complete construction projects quickly, effectively and efficiently. One of the constraining factors in the development of construction projects is the calculation of the quantity take off. Qantity take off is one of the contractor's efforts by calculating volume which will later be used as material for making a Bill of Quantity in tenders and also as material in conducting procurement. Cubicost TAS and TRB software based on Open BIM are capable of calculating the volume quantity take off process. Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a system in digital form that uses software to perform 3D modeling consisting of integrated modeling information for coordination, simulation and visualization facilities between stakeholders. This study uses a quantitative method, namely in the form of RAB data, reinforcement and CAD drawings obtained from the planning consultant. Based on the data obtained from this method, it was found that the purpose of this research was to make 3D modeling of the object being observed and find out the difference in calculating the Volume Quantity Take Off from BIM results and Conventional. The results of this research show that 3D modeling produced by BIM can be useful in the field, where misunderstandings often occur during construction due to discrepancies between 2D images and in the field. In the calculation of the total work material requirements there is also a difference between the BIM and existing (conventional) volume results, with concrete material of 3.70% more conventional methods than BIM and iron materials of 5.91 more conventional methods than BIM methods.
