Abstract

This study aims to determine the interaction and the main effect of trichompos and organic npk on the growth and production of cucumbers. This research has been carried out at the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution KM 11, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City, with a research time of 4 months from September to December 2021. The design used in this study, Completely randomized factorial consisting of two factors. The first factor is the application of Trichokompos (T) fertilizer with 4 levels of treatment, namely without treatment, 250 g/plot, 500 g/polybag and 750 g/polybag, while the second factor is Organic NPK (N) with 4 levels of treatment, namely without treatment, 7 ,5 g/plant, 15 g/plant and 22.5 g/plant, so there were 16 treatment combinations. Each treatment consisted of 3 replications so that 48 experimental units (plots) were obtained. Parameters observed were flowering age, harvest age, number of fruit, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per fruit, longest fruit length, number of remaining fruit, root volume. The data obtained were analyzed for variance and then continued with the significant difference test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of Trichompos and Organic NPK was significant for all parameters, except for the number of fruits, the number of fruit residues and the volume of roots. The best treatment was Trichompos 750 g/plot and Organic NPK 22.5 g/plant. The main effect of Trichompos was significant on all observation parameters. Best treat Trichompos 750 g/plot. The main effect of Organic NPK was significant on all observation parameters. Best treatment Organic NPK 22.5 g/plant.
