Abstract
Unconventional wells contain elements of shale oil and shale gas as in conventional wells. The use of coiled tubing is one technique that is considered the best for drilling. In conventional rigs, pipes/tubing/strings are connected or disconnected one by one using threaded connections. This method takes more time, requires more people and equipment, is more risky, and so on. This study aims to determine the technique of using coil tubing and to analyze milling frac plug using coil tubing in unconventional wells. The method used is a case study (case study). Based on the research, it can be concluded: 1) The technique of using coil tubing is carried out by adjusting the pressure, adjusting the injector head chain in traction based on CT weight, adjusting chain tension based on WHP and wellbore fl ow, monitoring and reducing CT speed, pumping , perform a tensile test. 2) When the CT is at a depth of 0 ft from the boundary, the CT string has a fatigue of 43.18%. While at a depth of 10562.63, the CT string is at a fatigue level of 38.06%. This means that the shallower the drilling, the higher the CT capability limit, thus at a depth of more than 1000 feet, CT only has a fatigue level of 38.06 lower than 0 ft depth.
