Abstract
ABSTRACK A criminological review of moral crimes committed by children is a study that explores sexual crimes from the perspective of criminology, which is the science that studies the causes of crimes, perpetrators, and social responses to these crimes. Moral crimes involving children as perpetrators are a serious concern because they not only have an impact on the victim, but also indicate a disruption in the process of child growth and development and moral formation. This phenomenon is a challenge for law enforcement officials, families, and the wider community, especially in the jurisdiction of the Pekanbaru Police. The main problem in this study aims to identify and analyze criminological factors that cause children to commit immoral acts with a focus on the jurisdiction of the Pekanbaru Police, as well as formulate countermeasures that can be applied so that the child perpetrator does not repeat his actions. The methods used in this study are empirical legal research and literature analysis approaches as supporting data. The data sources used in this study are primary data obtained directly from the results of interviews with the PPA unit of the Pekanbaru Police, as well as the collection of secondary data from various literature and laws and regulations, as well as the nature of this research, namely descriptive analysis. The results of the study showthat moral crimes by children in Pekanbaru are caused by various factors, such as lack of parental supervision, promiscuity, open access to pornographic content, and weak understanding of religious and moral values. Meanwhile, efforts to curb crimes committed by children in the jurisdiction of the Pekanbaru Police are from the parents, namely by paying more attention to daily life and even children's daily activities, providing lessons about religion to strengthen the faith of children who are vulnerable to being influenced by the development of the times and even the surrounding environment, not facilitating excessive children such as giving sophisticated cellphones so as to trigger children to easily access pornographic videos and Photos are fanciful.
