Abstract
The foundation is a bottom structure that has many types, one of which is the foundation of the well as used in the Biotech Building, Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau. In this research, the development was carried out by determining the bearing strength of the well foundation from PS1 sondir zone 2 As D8 working in the Biotech Building, Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University using the static method and the 2D finite element method. The data collection technique used in this study was secondary data collection in the form of sondir test data and building drawings. The analytical method used is the method from Cooke and Whitaker and Terzaghi, while the 2D finite element method uses Plaxis 2D with the axisymmetry model to determine the bearing capacity value of the well at point PS1 sondir zone 2 from secondary reference data, namely sondir test data and building drawings. The results of this study are based on the analysis of the bearing strength (Qu) of the well foundation at point PS1 in sondir zone 2 As D8 with a diameter of 1.35 m using the Cooke and Whitaker method of 2.656,98 kN, Terzaghi of 3.609,64 kN, and MEH 2D of 1.826,36 kN is able to withstand the axial load that works, namely 1009.04 kN. The safety factor obtained by the Cooke and Whitaker method was 2,63, Terzaghi was 3,57 and MEH was 1,81.
