Abstract

The Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3) is part of the overall management system which includes the organizational structure, planning, responsibilities, implementation, procedures, processes, and resources needed for developing, implementing, achieving, reviewing, and maintaining safety and health policies. Occupational health in order to create a safe, efficient, and productive workplace. Duri-Kandis-Sp. Road Preservation Work. Palas-Siak II Pekanbaru, is a construction project that has a high accident risk. In accordance with Government Regulation Number 50 of 2012 construction work that contains potential hazards must apply the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3). This final project aims to assess the in implementing the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) and find out what factors can influence the implementation of SMK3 in the Duri-Kandis-Sp road preservation work. Palas-Siak II Pekanbaru. The method used is a quantitative approach through a questionnaire form obtained from PP No. 50 of 2012 and also a list of interviews. The data is analyzed in the form of the percentage of achievement of implementing SMK3 at the initial level, transition level, and advanced level based on Government Regulation no. 50 of 2012. Based on the results obtained in this study that the achievement level of implementation at the initial level was 93.75%, the application at the transition level was 92.62%, and the achievement at the advanced level was 96.38% and entered into the category of satisfactory application level. Factors such as weak supervision, lack of compliance with applicable laws, insufficient OSH training, lack of knowledge about SMK3, lack of awareness of workers implementing OSH, lack of budget for SMK3, and also lack of awareness of workers using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are factors that influence the implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) on the work of Preserving Jalan Duri-Kandis-Sp. Palas-Siak II Pekanbaru
