Abstract
Take and shape playing could improve children ability in knowing geometry shape with learning by playing with friends in classroom. 4-5 years children’s ability in knowing geometry shape could be stimulated suitable with growing phase by using various learning method. Geometry lesson that was taught by teacher at school often made children was bored and lazy in learning. This research was done at kindergarten Kemala Bhayangkari 03 Pekanbaru and the purpose in this research examined to know the effectiveness of playing take shape on ability to know geometry shape for 4-5 years children. This research used qualitative method by using case study. The method used in collecting data was observation, interview, and documentation. Then, the data was analyzed by data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion. Data validity was tested by using data three triangulation. The main subject in this research was three children in 4-5 years old, homeroom teacher and headmaster that was determined by snowball sampling technique. Research finding showed that playing take shape was effective used in knowing geometry shape learning for 4-5 years children at kindergarten Kemala Bhayangkari 03 Pekanbaru. By using learning continuously and giving motivation in playing could make improvement on children ability from undeveloped increased to be developed suitable with the expectation to N children.
