Abstract

The system as a collection of hardware components, software, communication networks, and humans that interact with each other to collect, process, store, and disseminate information to support decision making, coordination, analysis, and visualization in organizations or individual users. In the context of health, especially in children, Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is one of the common diseases that requires special attention. This disease is generally transmitted through droplets or contact with contaminated surfaces, and is often experienced by children aged 2-5 years. This study identifies the problem of suboptimal health information systems at the Rejosari Pekanbaru Health Center which is inefficient in detecting ARI in toddlers. This application is intended to increase parental knowledge about ARI and provide preventive measures through a web platform. The research methods used include interviews, observations, and literature studies. From this study, it is hoped that a system will be created that can provide accurate information about the symptoms and severity of ARI in toddlers, especially at the Rejosari Pekanbaru Health Center. In addition, this system is expected to be a positive contribution in the development of expert systems in the health sector, as well as providing educational benefits for parents in recognizing and preventing ISPA in children
