Abstract

The environment is an asset needed for the welfare of society. In accordance with Article 33 paragraph (3) of the 1945 Constitution which states that the land, water and natural resources contained therein shall be used for the greatest prosperity of the people. Corporate social and environmental responsibility is the company's contribution to a sustainable development by managing the impact arising from company activities, which has various responsibilities towards all stakeholders including consumers and the environment in all aspects of company operations which include three aspects, namely the economy, social, and environmental. Corporate social responsibility is one of the obligations that must be carried out by a company which is a form of responsibility and concern for the environment and society. The type of research used in this study is empirical or sociological legal research in which the research data is in the form of statements, oral or written responses. The research location that the author chose to be able to carry out research on the problems that the author has determined is the problem of environmental and social responsibility at PT. Inti Indo Sawit Subur Sp5 Bukit Agung, Kerinci Kanan District, Siak Regency. The number of consumers is 2 community respondents and 2 companies. The results in the forms and benefits of corporate social responsibility at PT Indo Sawit Subur SP5 to the community and the surrounding environment, the forms that have been carried out by the company PT Indo Sawit Subur SP5 are social assistance, absorption of labor, transfer of knowledge and technology and the role of the environment. From the research results it is known that PT Indo Sawit Subur SP5 has not carried out corporate social responsibility optimally and evenly. However, the implementation of PT Indo Sawit Subur SP5's corporate social responsibility related to the absorption of PT Indo Sawit Subur SP5's workforce has carried out optimally. The implementation of PT Indo Sawit Subur SP5's corporate social responsibility according to a review of Article 74 of Law Number 40 of 2007 still has deficiencies and has not been maximized in its implementation. This is inseparable from the company's lack of attention to the community and the surrounding environment. From the research results it is known that PT Indo Sawit Subur SP5 has not carried out its social responsibilities optimally and as it should. The inhibiting factors are the separation of the CSR program with the lack of understanding of all elements of the company about CSR, lack of community participation, high competitiveness, and CSR being separated from the core business
