Abstract

THE INFLUENCE OF DISCIPLINE ON STUDENTS’ LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT IN ISLAMIC EDUCATION LESSON AT VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL HASANAH PEKANBARU BY: M.ADLI ZIL JALIL 182410200 This research was motivated by students’ learning achievement problems that happened on some students at vocational high school Hasanah pekanbaru. Where some of students’ class X TKJ 1 and TKJ 2 at vocational high school Pekanbaru showed that their final score/final report did not stated in minimum passing criteria. The factors that caused the lack of students’ learning achievement happened because of some possibility such as; some students did not understand the lesson material that presented by teacher, and some students did not give attention to teacher when teacher explained the material and the result could not suitable with the criteria. The purpose in this research examined to know how the level of students’ discipline in students’ perception at vocational high school Hasanah Pekanbaru, how was the level of students’ achievement in Islamic education lesson at vocational high school Hasanah Pekanabru, and was there any influence of discipline on students’ learning achievement in Islamic education lesson at vocational high school Hasanah Pekanbaru. This research used quantitative with correlational approach. The population and sample was all students’ class X TKJ 1 and TKJ 2 in 56 students. Data collection technique used questionnaire and documentation. Research finding showed that students’ discipline level in students’ perception classified into very high. The other result showed that there was any influence of discipline level on students’ learning achievement in Islamic education lesson at vocational high school Hasanah Pekanabru with significant result in 0.023. The influence score was very low (0.092 or 9.2%). Discipline influenced on students’ learning achievement in Islamic education lesson at vocational high school Hasanah Pekanbaru.
