Abstract

AN ANALYSIS OF KNOWLEDGE LEVEL OF LECTURERS AT ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY OF RIAU ON PROFESSIONAL ZAKAT BY: HERNI LISTIA WATI 192310096 This study is motivated by the number of lecturers at Islamic University of Riau (UIR), out of 562 lecturers, only 135 lecturers who issue professional zakat. Professional zakat is zakat that is imposed on each job or certain professional skill, whether done alone or jointly with other people/institutions, which generate income (money) that meets the nisab (minimum limit for zakat). This study aims to investigate the level of knowledge of lecturers at Islamic University of Riau on professional zakat. The data collection technique of the study is questionnaires distributed to lecturers at Islamic University of Riau by appying the Guttman scale method. This is a quantitative study. In analyzing the data, the descriptive analysis technique is carried out. Based on the results of the analysis of knowledge level of lecturers at Islamic University of Riau on professional zakat, it can be concluded that P = 71.3%, this value is in the range of 62% -81%, which is included in "high" category with a percentage of 71.3%.Knowledge Level, Lecturers, Islamic University of Riau, Professional Zakat.
