Abstract

This research was motivated by economic factor in Pekanbaru where zakat distribution productive through ummat independence empowerment at Muhammadiyah Amil Zakat Institution Pekanbaru. Infaq and sadaqah should be done in institution that had knowledge about guidance knowledge, mentorship knowledge, and monitoring knowledge on mustahik that started good business. Zakat productive distribution should gave positive impact to mustahik that wanted to free from economic poverty and could change mustahik economic to be perfect and the poverty number could decrease and create mustahik mindset to be a muzakki. Based on research formulation questioned about how zakat distribution through ummat independence empowerment of Muhammadiyah Amil Zakat, Infaq and Sadaqah Institution at Pekanbaru. This thesis also purposed about how zakat distribution through ummat independence empowerment program at Muhammadiyah Amil Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah Institution (LAZISMU) Pekanbaru. This research used descriptive with qualitative method. The informant in this research chosen head office of LAZISMU Pekanbaru, administration and human resource section, and utilization and distribution section. Data collection technique used observation, interview and documentation. This research finding showed that Muhammadiyah Amil Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah Institution at Pekanbaru had been done productive zakat distribution in ummat independence empowerment program. Some of staffs had been done zakat distribution procedure correctly such as feasibility study, determined productive business, guiding and counseling, observation, controlling and supervision, evaluating and printing report. There were some points should be gave attention such as guiding process, evaluation process and conducting report should be reset in zakat distribution procedure to be run well.
