Abstract

The background of this study aims to determine the extent to which the influence of boboiboy film television shows on the socio-emotional development of AlIkhwan Kindergarten children, Aek Nabara Tonga Village, Aek Nabara Barumun District, Padang Lawas Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest design. This study uses the television movie Boboiboy as the object of research and uses children aged 5- 6 years in Rombel C Aek Nabara Tonga students as many as 15 students as research subjects. The data collection techniques used are non-test instruments or in the form of performance tests. The data analysis technique of this study used non-parametric statistics with the Wilcoxon signed ranks test. The hypothesis of this research can be seen by Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) has a value of 0.01 because the value of 0.01 is smaller than 0.05, it can be concluded that "Ha is accepted". So it can be concluded that "the average socio-emotional development of children aged 5-6 years using television shows the film boboiboy has an effect" thus television shows the boboiboy film affects the social emotional development of students at Rombel C Kindergarten Al-Ikhwan Village Aek Nabara Tonga, Aek District Nabara Barumun, Padang Lawas Regency.
