Abstract

In the school environment, there are not a few student behaviors that appear that are not in accordance with existing norms such as pushing, pinching, mocking their friends, which is known in general as aggressive behavior. Aggression is an individual's behavior that is intended to harm or injure another individual who does not want the behavior. Children will behave aggressively if they are in conflict with their friends. This study aims to determine the prevention of aggressive behavior in children aged 5-6 years at TK Islam Sakinah Pandau Jaya Kecamatan Siak Hulu Kabupaten Kampar. The method used in this research is a qualitative method, using a case study approach. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews and documentation methods and then analyzed by data reduction methods, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The subjects in this study amounted to three people, namely the principal, homeroom teacher and student guardian who were determined by the purposive sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that the prevention of aggressive behavior in children aged 5-6 years at TK Islam Sakinah Pandau Jaya can be said to be successful. With the methods applied by schools in preventing aggressive behavior in children aged 5-6 years such as advice and motivation, setting limits, applying reward and punishment and doing catharsis.
