Abstract

The purpose of this study is to knowing the contribution of the hotel taxes and restaurant taxes to the Regional Original Income (PAD) of Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted in Pekanbaru City. The data analysis method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive method to describe the tax contribution in this study, the researcher uses a descriptive ratio analysis technique to measure the contribution. The results of the study show that hotel tax in the tourism sector is very less contributing to Pekanbaru City's Original Regional Revenue (PAD). This is caused by the lack of public awareness in paying hotel taxes to the government. Restaurant taxes in the tourism sector are very less contributing to Pekanbaru City's Original Regional Income (PAD). This is also due to the contribution of other sectors that are more significant to the Regional Original Income of Pekanbaru City.
