Abstract
The study was conducted to measure the appropriateness of the accounting application in the Pongkar Village, Tebing District, Karimun Regency with general accounting principles. Sources of data obtained for the process of making this thesis are sourced from notes, documentation, and interviews with the Pongkar Village to assist the thesis research process. The results of the study stated that the basis for recording which was applied in the Pongkar Village, Tebing District, Karimun Regency was cash-based. The accounting process in Pongkar Village, Tebing District, Karimun Regency has not been implemented according to the correct accounting cycle because Pongkar Village, Tebing District, Karimun Regency has not made a Ledger, a Balance Sheet, and a Village Property Report. The application of accounting in the Pongkar Village, Tebing District, Karimun Regency is not in accordance with general accounting principles.
