Abstract

This research was conducted in Tenayan Raya District of Pekanbaru City. With regard to this research the object is a meatball entrepreneur. The purpose in this research is to find out the suitability of the application of accounting in meatball business in Tenayan Raya District of Pekanbaru City with basic accounting concepts. This study is a qualitative study conducted on 18 respondents as a sample. This sampling technique uses purposive sampling techniques, namely meatballs that record and provide data. The data collected is primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques are structured interviews as well as lists of questions or questionnaires. After all the data is collected then the data is analyzed using desktriptif methods. The results of this study show the suitability of the application of accounting in meatball business in Tenayan Raya District with basic accounting concepts. In general, in running their business, entrepreneurs have used cash receipts and cash expenditures, but after research it can be concluded that the application of accounting in meatball businesses in Tenayan Raya District of Pekanbaru City has not been in accordance with the basic concepts of accounting.
