Abstract

SOCIAL MEDIA AND SHOPPE AFFILIATE (COMMUNICATION PATTERN OF THE SHOPEE AFFILIATE PROGRAM AFFILIATE ON SOCIAL MEDIA) Aninda Nurhidayati 189110221 Abstract This study aims to determine the communication patterns used by shopee affiliate program affiliates on social media. This type of research, meaning that this research is descriptive qualitative research, meaning that this research examines and explains natural events. This study uses as many as five affiliated sources and fulfills the requirements set by the researchers. In study, researchers used interview and observation data collection techniques and then drew conclusions based on the theories and methods used. The results of the study show that: First, there are two communication patterns used by shopee affiliate program affiliates on social media, namely the wheel communication pattern and the star communication pattern. Second, the most dominant communication pattern used by shopee affiliate program affiliates on social media is the star communication pattern. Third, there are barriers to communication experienced by shopee affiliate program affiliates on social media, namely socio-anthro-psychological barriers, semantic barriers, mechanical barriers and ecological barriers.
