Abstract

Development of Small and Medium Industries in their development with the aim of improving the community's economy including blacksmith craftsmen in Rumbio Jaya sub-district by providing guidance by the Kampar Regency Industry and Labor Office which cover : Give direction, give guidance, supervise, provide education and training and give guidance. The purpose of this study was to determine the Implementation of the Development of Small and Medium Industries of Blacksmiths in the District of Rumbio Jaya by the Department of Industry and Labor of Kampar Regency and to know the obstacles in the Implementation of the Development of Small and Medium Industries of Blacksmiths in Rumbio Jaya District by the Department of Industry and Labor of Kampar Regency. The research method used is a quantitative method. The results of the research of the Development of Small and Medium Industries Blacksmiths in Rumbio Jaya District by the Department of Industry and Labor of Kampar Regency through five indicators are in the category “Pretty good” where it is known that the Implementation of the Development of Small and Medium Industries Blacksmiths in Rumbio Jaya District by the Department of Industry and Labor of Kampar Regency has not been carried out to the maximum through providing coaching in the form of materials, practical activities and marketing. The conclusion of the research is that the fostering activities on the blacksmith business ownership have not provided knowledge of business development on the ownership of the business. However, the authors suggest that the Department of Industry and Labor of Kampar Regency increase the number of officers in conducting coaching, increase the time of coaching activities and supervise the blacksmith's business activities and establish cooperation with blacksmith ownership in developing the blacksmith business.
