Abstract

The teachers who teach at special school need patience because they must be capable of controlling their emotion, not complain, and act calmly when facing the behavior and emotions of special kids. In this case, self regulation is needed to manage the emotion, mind, and behavior so that the teacher can control their act during the teaching process. This research aims to scientifically examine the correlation between self regulation and patience of teachers at special school. The research samples were 123 teachers of special school and they were selected by using Cluster Random Sampling technique. While the research instruments were self regulation scale and patience scale made by the researcher herself. The analysis results of Alpha Cronbach’s correlation show correlation coefficient in the amount of 0,522 with p value = 0,000 ( p < 0,05). This indicates that there is correlation between self regulation and patience of teachers at special school.
