Abstract
On the cross-Sumatra road is a path that is often passed by various vehicles, with heavy loads and tends to exceed capacity will affect the condition of pavement, thus making the road service period decreased quality. With this problem, the purpose of the study to find out how much influence overloading (overloading) on the life of rigid pavement plan (Rigid Pavement). The survey was conducted by taking secondary data, namely heavy data on freight transport vehicles from the Ministry of Transportation Directorate General of Land Transportation. LHR data in 2020 from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing Directorate General of Highways Riau Province. The method used for the calculation of VDF value due to overload and decreased life plan using vehicle damage factor (VDF) value of AASHTO method 1993, and Bina Marga (1987). From the study, the percentage of actual overload influence on the age of road pavement plan for class 3 vehicles was 4.67%, group 6 by 38.17%, group 7a by 52.21%, group 7b by 4.95%. And the magnitude of the influence of vehicle load on the decrease in the life of the normal condition pavement plan 14.72%, while the overload of the vehicle is the remaining age of pavement by 13.48%. Thus, the Value of Road Damage (DKJ) in 2 U.S. truck vehicles with a < load of 20 tons of 4.71, on 2 U.S. trucks with a >30 ton load of 9.26 and on 3 U.S. trucks with a >70 ton load of 11.46. And the value of Truck factor on pavement normal load conditions TF 3.68 > 1, overload conditions TF 10.35> 1. So that means that within the next 20 years the road will experience a decline in services. And the real cause of the field is greater influence of vehicle load on pavement. So that in the next 20 years the road can still be crossed, it is recommended that there should be supervision on the weighbridge of Balai Raja tightened so that there are no overload violations.
