Abstract
Electricity is one of the most important needs for society. The need for electricity will continue to grow with this modernization, to overcome the large demand for electricity needs. So the construction of a 35,000 Mega Watt (MW) power plant was built by President Joko Widodo in 2015, one of them is the PLTU in Tenayan Raya. Here, we often experience additional burdens to meet the changing electrical power requirements without being estimated. The cost of a power plant that often changes can affect the performance of each part such as a boiler and steam turbine. Where to get the influence of the load generator on the performance of the steam turbine and to get the best performance of the steam turbine. Then it needs to be analyzed from the performance parameter values obtained. Changes in the load on the performance obtained the highest load, namely at 110.5 MW, turbine work 2168.05 kJ / kg, turbine power 110660.3 kW, torque 353035 kJ / kg, pump working value 88.41 kJ / kg, heat value enter 2767.73 kJ / kg, heat out 2578.4 kJ / kg, useful work 2079.64 kJ / kg, and thermal efficiency 75%. The load on the generator affects the performance of the steam turbine system. Where the greater the load, the performance of the steam turbine system increases.
