Abstract

Handling road preservation with long segment contracts is something new for the contractor, so do with the contractor of Pekanbaru-Kuansing road rehabilitation preservation packages. Based on this, this study aims to determine the form of handling rehabilitation of the Pekanbaru - Kuansing road based on the contents of the long segment contract number 01 / KTR / SKPD-TP / 2018 and to determine the suitability of the rehabilitation handling in the field with long segment contract. The results showed that the handling of preservation rehabilitation of Pekanbaru-Kuansing road based on the contents of the contract was known that the implementation of the work was carried out on January 17, 2018 with a work period of 334 calendar days in accordance with the form of the contract that is a unit price contract for a single year contract. The contract outlines all the scope of the main work and its implementation along with the length of the work area and duration of work, and obligations that must be accomplished by the Contractor, as well as the sanctions for the Contractor if the implementation is not in accordance with the contract. Meanwhile, the implementation in the field is in accordance with the contract, where the Contractor performs the work in accordance with what is stated in the contract and completes the work in accordance with the specified deadline, as well as in the Long Segment performance indicators where it has been fulfilled in accordance with what is stated in contract. The conclusions obtained in this study are the contents of the contract in the Pekanbaru - Kuansing Rehabilitation Preservation work package explaining the value of the contract, the rights and obligations of PPK and Contractor, and the specific conditions of the contract. There is a change in the volume of work that is due to be adjusted to the conditions and needs in the field, and the issuance of the Addendum. Regarding this change and the issuance of the Addendum it is recommended to Contractor and PPK in the calculation of engineering volume of work to be more adapted to the conditions and needs in the field
