Abstract

During the production of oil from the Gathering Station well, the bacteria or microbes (Desulfovibrio Closfridi) that produce corrosive microbial compounds that are produced will pass through the production pipeline directly to the reservoir tank, by participating in the production of these bacteria will cause the formation of corrosive processes to the production pipe. and storage tanks that will be rusting at the production facility. Bacteria can also cause the formation of H 22S which affects work health and safety. Bacteria can also cause emulsions between fluid interfaces and damage the control valve system facilities. Sulfate reducing bacteria (SRB) creates serious problems in several fields of oil and oil storage. Therefore, efficient control of sulfur bacteria is one of the priorities in management. In practice, H2S and SRB populations are controlled by injecting H2S chemical neutralizers and biocides into production lines or wash tanks using batching methods. The use of chemicals in this study with a continuous method of 90 gallons with a dose of 87,462 ppm per month and a batching method of 47 gallons with a dose of 45,481 ppm per month. Comparison of the cost of using biocide chemicals continuous method = 99,519.21 US $, batching method = 51,971.14 US $, saving equal to 47,546.07 US $ per month. The results of bacterial growth between batching and continuous methods are both ranging from + (10 ^ 1) to +++ (10 ^ 3).
