Abstract

This research was motivated by the influence of school environment on students’ morality. The moral in this context referred to responsible behavior in every activity, such as culture, politeness, and related to the inner hearth which encourage to create personal characteristic. School environment was components in education system which referred to criterion or rules based on government statute. In other words, it was also could be made and implemented with chain or continuous regulation. Besides, the research formulation in this research was there any influence of school environment on students’ moral at Islamic Junior High School Kumbara Utama right-kerinci sub-district Siak regency. The purpose in this research was to examine the influence of school environment on students’ morality at Islamic Junior High School Kumbara Utama right-kerinci sub-district Siak regency. This research used quantitative approaches with correlational design. The population in this research was students at Islamic Junior High School Kumbara Utama with 85 respondents. Questionnaire was the instrument in this research. The research finding concluded that there was any influence between school environment toward students’ morality at MTs Kumbara Utama right-Kerinci with significant score 0.000 or less than 0.05. Then, the influence between school environment toward students’ morality in low category with 34.4%, meanwhile the other 65.7 was influenced by the other factors. It could be predicted that when school environment could be increased, it could give contribution to increase students’ morality in 33%. Vice versa, when school environment was low, it could make students’ morality decreased in 33%.
