Abstract

Based on observations in the field, through observations done by researchers can be seen that there are some problems that there are still students who do not have good physical elements such as arm muscle strength that has not been maximized. This resulted in a lot of service results on the wrong target, and often the ball on the net and sometimes not directed to the boundary box of the opponent field. The ability of students in using arm muscle strength is also still not maximal. The mastery of the service technique is also still not good, it is seen when doing the service over the ball often does not float well to the opponent's field, then the coordination of muscle motion of the student's arms has not been so good, it appears from the service that students do is still rigid. The purpose of this study is to determine the contribution of arm muscle strength to the service ability of the extracurricular bolavoli Students in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 Lipatkain Kampar regency.This research type is correlation research. Population and Sample in this research are students Extracurricular Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 Lipatkain Kampar regency, amounting to 15 students. Data analysis technique used is r test. Based on the results of research that has been done can be concluded that there is contribution of arm muscle strength to the service ability of extracurricular bolavoli Students Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 Lipatkain Kampar regency equal to 2.19%. Will the rest of 97,81% is influenced by several factors that are not examined in this study.
