Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a leg muscle explosive power contribution to the results of the long jump of male students of Class VII of SMP Negeri 3 Rambah Hilir in Rokan Hulu Regency, and the problem in this study was the contribution of leg muscle explosive power to the results of long jump students of Class VII of State Junior High School 3 Reaching Downstream of Rokan Hulu Regency. This type of research is correlational studies that compare the result of measurement of two different variables in order to determine the degree of association between variables, data collection techniques used that is in measuring explosive power limb muscles ( of variable X ) using test a standing broad jump, while for measuring the results of the long jump ( of variable Y ) use test the long jump.Population to research this is a student VII junior hight school 3 Rambah Hilir District Rokan Hulu and samples to this study were students the son of class VII whose were 30 people. The experiment use total of sampling means then the entire population used as the sample.So that the number of samples in this study were 30 students.To see all the explosive power limb muscles on the long jump used formula correlation product moment.
