Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of passing ability and stopping football through the method of playing on students of class XI SMAN 2 Batam. This type of research is PTK research. The technique used is the sampling used is purposive sampling that is sampling for certain considerations. Associated with this research is Classroom Action research (PTK). So all the samples used are students of class XI SMAN 2 Batam amounted to 30 people. Data analysis technique used is to calculate the percentage value of classical mastery. From the description of research and data analysis, this study can be concluded that through the method of play can improve the ability of passing and stopping football in students class XI SMAN 2 Batam on average in the first cycle of 70% and the average in cycle II of 87.6 %.
