Abstract
This study aims to improve the learning process and improve the learning outcomes of mathematics students of class VII 6 SMP Negeri 6 Siak Hulu through the application of Advance Organizer (AO) learning model. Subjects in this study were students of class VII 6 SMP Negeri 6 Siak Hulu academic year 2017/2018 with the number of students as many as 22 students consisting of 10 male students and 12 female students with heterogeneous student characteristics. This form of research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) consisting of two cycles. Data collection techniques in this study are observation techniques and test results learning techniques. Observation technique in the form of observation sheet, analyzed descriptively qualitative which aims to describe the activity of teacher and student during the learning process take place. While the test of learning outcomes is analyzed by Analysis of Analysis of Action Success.The results showed that the improvement of learning process and improvement of mathematics learning outcomes of students of class VII ii 6 SMP Negeri 6 Siak Hulu. This can be seen from the number of students who reach the KKM from the basic score of 5 students from 22 student increased in the daily test I to 54% then increased in the daily test II to 81%. From the research results can be concluded that Application of Learning Model AO Can Improve Learning Process and Improve Student Learning Outcomes Mathematics Grade VII 6 SMP Negeri 6 Siak Hulu academic year 2017/2018.
