Abstract

This research was conducted in order to know the effect of active learning the mind map towards the results of a study of grade VIII students biology MTS Ummatan Wasathan Pesantren Teknologi Riau Academic Year 2017/2018 technology on the material system for excretion. This research is quasi experimental research conducted in April to May 2018. This research population is a grade VIII MTS UmmatanWasathan Pesantren Teknologi Riau. The sample was chosen based on its homogeneity test from value pre-test, which is given to the population. Two grades are homogeneous then randomly selected to determine the grade of experiments and control grade, then chosen to Class VIII PA2 as grade experiments and grade VIII PA1 as control grade. From analysis T-test show that T hitung >T tabel IE 40 > 2.02 then H1 received and H 0 is rejected, it was a significant influence between experimental grade and control grade. Based on descriptive data analsis obtained the average results of students teaching experiment grade (PA2 VIII) = 87.2 and Control grade (VIII PA1) = 75.4. Group with an absorption experiment higher than the student grade group. It can be concluded that there is an influence of the results of the biology study between grades that implement an active learning mind map component with classes that do not implement active mind map in grade VIII MTS UmmatanWasathan Pesantren Teknologi Riau Year 2017/2018.
