Abstract

This study aims to improve learning outcomes by applying the Snakes and Ladders Game method to class VII4 students of SMP 1 Koto Gasib in the 2017/2018 Academic Year, entitled 29 students with 13 male students and 16 female students. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) which was held on March 29 2018 until May 12 2018. The parameters used were student learning outcomes in the form of absorptive capacity, student learning completeness. Data analysis techniques that are descriptive analysis techniques. Absorption value of KDP students before class action research (PTK), namely 73.51% increased in the first cycle to 74.35%, and in the second cycle increased again by 80,22%. Classical completeness of students' KDP value before PTK 41.37% increased in the first cycle to 44,82% and in the second cycle increased to 86,20%. The absorption capacity of Psikomotorik students before PTK 74.27% increased in the first cycle to 87,64% and in the second cycle decreased to 83.47%. Classical completeness of students' Psikomotorik value before PTK 48.27% increased in cycle I to 96,55% and in cycle II with Cycle I by 89.65%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of game learning media can improve the learning outcomes of grade VII4 science at SMP Negeri 1 Koto Gasib, Siak district, 2017/2018 school year.
