Abstract

This study aims to determine the Pedagogic Competence of Science Teachers in Pekanbaru State Junior High School 17 based on the Regulation of the Minister of National Education Number 16 of 2007. This study uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. The instruments used in this study used interview sheets as the main data, observation sheets and documentation as supporting data. The sample used was 2 science teachers. Then the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results showed that the level of the Pedagogical Competence of Science Teachers in Pekanbaru State Junior High School was optimal and in accordance with the Minister of National Education Regulation Number 16 of 2007, but there needs to be some learning, such as utilizing information and communication technology, facilitating the development of potential students and conduct process evaluations and evaluations.
