Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine the learning outcomes of students biology class VIII3 junior high school Siak Hulu academic year 2017/2018 with the implementation of the guided inquiry from September to October 2017 in the class VIII3 midle school 4 Siak Hulu the academic year 2017/2018 amounting to 35 people stundent with 18 male students and 17 female students. Based on the analysis of the obtained data, the value of PPK before PTK was 75,88%. After PTK students cognitive achievement on first cycle were increased 85,73% on second cycle was 89,62%. The completeness of classical student before PTK were 75,91%. After was 82,61 and 87,18% the second cycle. The completeness of classical student before PTK were 62,85%. After PTK was 97,14% and 100%. Based on the result of the research shows that the application of guided inquiry learning can improve biology learning outcomes of class VIII3 midle school 4 Siak Hulu in 2017/2018 academic year.
