Abstract

This study aims to determine the laboratory profile and teacher competence manager of laboratory Science/Biology in SMAS Bukit Raya District and Rumbai Pesisir District 2017/2018 academic year. This research is a survey research with descriptive quantitative analysis. Data collection in this study using observation sheets, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The subject of this research is the laboratory of biology and laboratory manager at SMAS Bukit Raya District and Rumbai Pesisir District which amounts to 4 people. Data analysis technique using percentage. From the research result, the average of biology laboratory profile is 69,58% with complete category. For the type of laboratory facilities obtained the highest percentage of educational media of 100% with a very complete category and the lowest percentage of educational equipment of 43,58% with quite complete categories. For the average competence of laboratory manager of biology laboratory is 70,74% with competent category. For every aspect of competence of biology laboratory manager the highest percentage on qualification aspect 100% with very competent category and lowest percentage on professional aspect 49,76% with enough competent category. The results showed that the laboratory profile of IPA / Biology SMAS Bukit Raya District and Rumabi Pesisir District academic year 2017/2018 categorized Complete and already meet the standards of Permendiknas No 24 of 2007 and for Competence Teacher categorized Competent is in accordance with Permendiknas No 26 of 2008.
