Abstract

The purpose of this study to determinelearning outcomes Biology of grade VII3 students of XMIA 3 MAN 1 Pekanbaru Academic Year 2016/2017 with the application of cooperative learning type Jigsaw II and handout on February 03, 2017 until March 31, 2016 of grade XMIA 3 students of MAN 1 Pekanbaru Academic Year 2016/2017 which amounts to 24 students consist of 10 male students and 14 female students. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). Parameters measured are student learning outcomes in the form of absorption and mastery learning students that consist of individual mastery and classical. The data were analyzed descriptively to determine the absorption and mastery learning students to the value ofknowledge understanding of the concept(Cognitive)and the value of scientific performance (Psychomotor). Absorption value of knowledge understanding of the conceptstudents before the Classroom Action Research (CAR) 79,70% increase in the first cycle to 84,50% % and the second cycle had increased to 92,23%.Classical completeness value ofknowledge understanding of the concept students before CAR 61,90% increase in the first cycle to 76.19% and the second cycle had increased to 92.86%. Absorption value of scientific performancestudents before the Classroom Action Research (CAR) 76,88% increase in the first cycle to 82.12% and the second cycle had increased to 83.58%. Based on the research results it can be type jigsaw ii by using handout to result of cognitive learning biology student of xmia 3 class man 1 pekanbaru academic year 2016/2017.
