Abstract
This study aims to determine the result of learning biology of students by Applying Direct Instruction Model of Learning practice in Students of Class VIIIc MTsN 04 Kampar academic year 2017/2018.This is a class room action Research (PTK). The data is taken from August until October 2017. Parameter measured is the result of student Learning in the form of know ledge understanding concept (PPK) and scientific performonce (KI). Subject is student class VIIIc MTsN 04 Kampar whict amounted to 26 students consisting of 11 male students andis famale students. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis. Data Learning progress processed is data of learning progres PPK and KI the result of the performanceof students obsorption in cycle I is 79,36% and absorption power cylcle II is 86,84%. completeness of KI valve in cycle I is 82,34% and cycle II becomes 85,65%. it can be concluded the application of direct instruction model of learning can improve the learning progress of biology the students of class VIIIc MTsN 04 Kampar academic year 2017/2018.
