Abstract

This study aims to analyze the suitability of National Education Minister Regulation No. 24 of 2007 with the factual conditions of the laboratory in supporting science / biology practicum activities in the learning process at 2 Pekanbaru State Middle School Academic Year 2017/2018. This research is a survey research with descriptive quantitative analysis. Respondents in this study amounted to 6 respondents consisting of biology teachers, biology laboratory managers as well as class VIII students. The research data was collected through interviews, recording documents and documentation. The results in this descriptive study indicate that the results of the suitability of science / biology laboratory facilities and infrastructure based on Permendiknas No. 24 of 2007 with 86% percentage are categorized as very appropriate. While the results of each school regarding the compatibility between Permendiknas No. 24 of 2007 and the factual conditions of the science laboratory in supporting practical activities, namely SMP Negeri 03 Pekanbaru obtained the percentage of supporting facilities of infrastructure and facilities amounting to 87.83% with a very good category, while Pekanbaru Public Middle 13 get the results of the percentage of supporting capacity of facilities and infrastructure of 84.50% categorized as good. These results indicate that it is classified as meeting the minimum standards stated in Permendiknas No. 24 of 2007.
