Abstract
Students who are studying in a Islamic boarding school are required to live in a dormitory provided by the school. This will be very difficult for first-year students who are required to be away from their parents, because the new life has resulted in a change of role for students who have just entered the Islamic boarding school, who at first as children who are always close to their parents now have to live in their dormitory so it caused separation anxiety and also increase depression for students. This can be a factor in increasing bullying in schools because these students will express their situation by disturbing other students. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship separation anxiety and depression on bullying behavior in Islamic boarding school. The number of samples in this study were 92 students with data collection techniques used scale consist of 28 items for bullying behavior scale, 34 items for separation anxiety scale and 34 items for depression scale, then the data obtaine d were ana lyzed using multiple regression linier analysis. Based on the results of the analysis of this study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship separation of anxiety and depression on bullying behavior on Islamic boarding school. The higher separation anxiety and depression experienced by students, it will increase bullying behavior on Islamic boarding school. Conversely, the lower separation anxiety and depression experienced by students, it will decrease bullying behavior on Islamic boarding school.
