Abstract
Authoritarian parenting is a form of parental that requires children to be obedient and submissive to all orders and rules made by parents without the freedom to ask or express their own opinions. Authoritarian parents also like to watch, but do not want to listen to their children. They do not participate so much in their children's activities. They are more straightforward and being cold, orders and nishments are routine, take place day by day. Care is like this which sometimes makes children become unhappy and even tend to withdraw from their environment. The purpose of this study was to determine relationship between perceptions of authoritarian parenting and friendship behavior among adolescences. The number of samples in this study was 167 adolescences, with data collection techniques used a scale consisted of 56 items for friendship behavior scale and 25 item for friendship behavior scale and the data were analyzed by using correlation product moment Pearson analysis. Based on the results of the analysis of this study, it can be concluded that there is a negative relationship between perceptions of authoritarian parenting and friendship behavior among adolescences. The higher authoritarian parenting in adolescents, the lower their friendships behavior in adolescents and the lower the authoritarian parenting style in adolescents, the higher of their friendship behavior.
